In this week’s blog we celebrate the retirement of a long time SRLA Leader and a super star in the running community, Mr. Jaravarta. Mr. Jaravata has been inspiring students to be their best selves on and off the marathon course since 1997. In that time he has completed over 500 Marathons and brought joy to countless runners. Throughout her years in SRLA she inspired her siblings to join and rose up as a leader in the program. Read MoreThis winter we encouraged SRLA Students and Leaders to stay committed to their goals by participating in the SRLA Holiday Break 50 Mile Challenge. Runners were challenged to complete 50 training miles between Saturday, December 17th and Sunday, January, 8th.
Over 1,000 runners succeeded in logging 50 miles during their break. In doing so, they have stayed on track with their training for the Los Angeles Marathon in March.
