2021 COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

Students Run LA (SRLA) is committed to following all federal, state, and local COVID-19 health guidelines. These protocols include wearing masks while riding buses, in large crowds, and indoors. In compliance with these guidelines, masks will not be required when SRLA runners are participating in outdoor training or running events.

 As a vendor of LAUSD that provides services to District students, SRLA is required to follow the vaccination mandates of LAUSD. LAUSD requires all vendor staff, including employees and volunteers, to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by no later than October 15, 2021. In addition, LAUSD also requires all eligible students who are 12 years old or older who participate in extracurricular activities, like SRLA, to be fully vaccinated by October 31, 2021.

Accordingly, SRLA is following these mandates and is requiring that ALL staff, students, volunteers be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This requirement applies to all SRLA participants, including those who participate in SRLA outside of LAUSD.

SRLA participants who have COVID-19 symptoms or are asymptomatic but have tested positive for COVID-19 will not be allowed to participate in SRLA activities. Athletes will not return to training until 10 days post-system onset or positive test AND must have had improving symptoms for 72 hours. These participants will be directed to follow the CIF Recommended Evaluation & Cardiac Testing for COVID-19 (+) Athletes Returning to Education-Based Athletics and CIF COVID-19 Graduated Return to Play Protocol.
