This 2 day conference (Tuesday, Aug. 19 - Wednesday, Aug. 20) is an important refresher and/or introduction to the Students Run L.A. program. Health and Fitness, Group Management, Injury Prevention, and Training Tips are among the topics discussed at this inservice. Attendance is mandatory in order to qualify for salary points. The Main Street Run course loop is fast with a challenging uphill at the start of the race and a fast downhill for the finish.
Saturday, Nov 8th, 200808:00:00Learning for Life 15K
The Learning for Life 15K (9.3 miles) is a unique course that takes place at the Cabrillo Beach Youth Water Front Sports Center in San Pedro. This event is a critical transitional phase that introduces your runners to longer distance challenges.
Saturday, Jan 10th, 200907:30:00Southern California Half Marathon
This event starts and finishes at the Woodbridge Village Shopping Center in Irvine. The course is fast and takes place on flat, paved roads around the picturesque neighborhood and recreation areas of the City. You must have SRLA Coordinator approval prior to race morning to late register any of your runners. SRLA LATE OR ON-SITE REGISTRATION FOR THIS AND FUTURE EVENTS IS RESTRICTED.
Sunday, Feb 1st, 200908:00:00SRLA Friendship 18 Miler
This is a critical test of the training commitment of your runners. Student Runners must participate in this event in order to qualify for entry through SRLA to the City of Los Angeles Marathon. Student Runners who exceed an average of 16 minutes per mile pace at this event must have Marathon Leader and parental/guardian approval in order to participate in the City of Los Angeles Marathon through Students Run L.A.
